Bronze Level Quality Improvement (QI)

Are you interested in learning about how to understand and use Quality Improvement methods to improve healthcare?

Aimed at all healthcare staff groups and patients and carers, the online Bronze Level Quality Improvement (QI) Foundation course introduces the ‘Model for Improvement’ and some practical improvement tools such as PDSA cycles and run charts.

This modular e-learning course is provided free of charge and is available to all healthcare staff across the Oxford AHSN region as well as others interested in supporting or delivering improvement.  The course is based on NHS Wales’ highly tested and successful ‘1000 Lives Plus’ Bronze Level training and is delivered across Oxford AHSN in conjunction with the Yorkshire and Humber AHSN Improvement Academy.

Assessment – CPD / Revalidation

This training will take approximately 1½ to 2 hours to complete. Three out of the four course modules end with a brief assessment, where you will be evaluated on your understanding of QI.

Module 1: Introduction to Quality Improvement Training (5 mins)
Module 2: Quality in Healthcare (30 mins)
Module 3: How can I improve patient care? (30 mins)
Module 4: Your Model for Improvement (30 mins)

On completion of all four modules learners can print a certificate of completion which can be used as evidence of CPD activity for personal or professional re-validation portfolios.

The Bronze Level QI Foundation Course can be accessed here (course will open in a separate window). Please register your organisation as Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley when prompted.
